Ahh...so that's why the eco-fascists prefer to talk of 'climate change' (as though climate was static!) rather than 'global warming'...

Someone gave me a copy of the 1885 Sunlight Soap Almanac the other day. I think it is perhaps the most amusing publication that I have ever been privileged to peruse. The resonance with today's promulgation of fear factors by corrupt governments devising new ways to filch the national wealth and indulge in corrupt practices is astounding - plus ca change ... - and I'll extract some of the more hilarious passages and post them from time to time.
As you have always pointed out Paul, there are benefits from natural climate fluctuations for this country that we should exploit. But meantime perhaps Enoch or Dan could arrange for their compatriot the Gorey asshole to direct a little of his global warming to East Anglia forthwith as there is an Inconvenient Truth - the Northeast wind-chill factor with driving sleet - that is not good for decrepit old farts like me.
I agree that 'climate change' has been conveniently substituted into the drip, drip of overt and subliminal media propaganda to replace 'global warming'; but they still slip the latter in from time to time just in case George Monbiot may be listening (his spectacles wouldn't have lasted too long at the grammar school I attended; if ever the psychiatric clinicians need to illustrate an example of a pompous little twat still displaying the trauma of playground bullying syndrome, he is the ideal paradigm). What a shame that Scott is not around to resume his icy blasts against all this baneful bullshit. I hope he's exploiting his talents to better financial advantage than amusing and inspiring us. Wonder what he thinks about Obambi, Chicago; the rise of rampant modified Marxism and the implosion of capitalism? Nothing invidious intended guys as I enjoy your salvos too. I still think we should report him as a missing allied combatant. Anybody get hit by the latest Nasdaq ponzi? I thank my lucky stars that I am as poor as church mouse and therefore remain immune to greed. Must be tough for plutocrats and rich socialists currently. Wonder where Gordon Brown’s depository is situated, there must be a considerable portfolio in it by now?
